The Soybean Miracle of Tian Ye Qin Xue

Community Connection
It All Starts with a Single Soybean!

Community Connection
Community Connections

Tian Ye Qin Xue is more than just an organization that produces soybeans; it actively builds connections within the community, linking the place of origin, education, and daily life through various projects. During the interview, Mr. Chen Guang-jing repeatedly emphasized that the core of cooperation is "sharing and mutual prosperity." By sharing resources and aligning values, they collectively establish a sustainable model for local living.
Cooperation with Farmers

Tian Ye Qin Xue collaborates with local farmers to promote eco-friendly cultivation methods, encouraging farmers to shift from merely "producing crops" to "caring for the land." After a farmer successfully completes a trial planting in the first year, a formal partnership begins. Since then, the number of partner farmers has grown steadily, and the cultivation areas have expanded from Miaoli to Erlin, Yunlin, and beyond, forming a cross-regional cooperation model. Mr. Chen Guang-jing stated: "The reason we choose cooperation over working alone is that agriculture involves multiple complex factors—land, technology, machinery, capital, and labor—which are difficult for a single individual to manage entirely. Through cooperation, we can not only diversify risks but also ensure that benefits are shared, creating a more stable and resilient model for agricultural development.".

The contract farming system was established in the second half of 2018. Once farmers complete their harvest, Tian Ye Qin Xue handles the soybean procurement, gradually building a stable and reliable partnership.
Collaboration with Schools 2020:

"A Single Soybean: Planting the Seeds of Education"

Tian Ye Qin Xue launched the "A Single Soybean: Planting the Seeds of Education" project, bringing the initiative into campuses and communities. Through Food and Agricultural Education (FAE) courses, students learn about the journey of a soybean from the soil to the dining table. This action makes the place of origin feel less distant and helps children cultivate a deep respect for the land and their food from a young age.
Collaboration with Businesses and Hotels 2022:

"Linking Public Welfare Platforms: From Farm to Table"

By integrating with various public welfare platforms, Tian Ye Qin Xue has collaborated with partners across different sectors—from production and processing to the dining table. Together, they promote "local soybean cuisine" and build a comprehensive cooperation network. Soybeans are no longer just an agricultural product; they have become a vital medium connecting farmers, partners, and consumers.
Field Learn’s Role in the Community:

"Connector and Activist"

Revitalizing Local Culture and Spaces
In 2023, Tian Ye Qin Xue curated the 1st "Field Sustainability Life Festival" at the Beidou Red Brick Market. By integrating agriculture, dining, culture, and community, they invited local residents to participate. This event did more than just promote soybeans; it unlocked possibilities for local innovation and cultural regeneration, allowing the community to envision a new model of sustainable living and reconnecting residents emotionally with their hometown.
Promoting the "Rural Sports Party"

Held in 2024 and 2025, these events invited parents and children to step into the fields and experience the land firsthand, while browsing local farmers' markets. This model, which combines "physical fitness" with "healthy food," transforms traditional rural villages into vibrant and health-oriented living spaces.
Mr. Chen Guang-jing mentioned: "What we hope to reclaim is a lifestyle for the future—one with clean food, cared-for land, and a community of people who live together." By bridging agriculture and education, more people can understand the source of their food and rebuild their fundamental connection with the land.
Customer Feedback

Interview with a Male Customer

Student: May I ask which products you usually purchase from Tian Ye Qin Xue? Are there any specific items you particularly like or would recommend to others?

Customer: I mainly buy the yellow soybean milk—I think the texture and mouthfeel are excellent. I also frequently buy their tofu and black soybean milk. I would highly recommend all of these products.

Student: For my second question, what is the main reason you choose to buy Tian Ye Qin Xue products? Is it the texture and quality, or is it because you identify with their philosophy, or perhaps for other reasons?

Customer: Primarily, it’s because the texture and quality are both outstanding. At the same time, I strongly resonate with their philosophy of promoting organic and eco-friendly farming.

Furthermore, the fact that they use domestic soybeans gives me peace of mind when eating and makes me very willing to support them.

Student: One last question: Do you have any suggestions for Tian Ye Qin Xue’s products, or are there any new products or services you hope to see them launch in the future?

Customer: I think their current product range is already quite diverse. In the future, they could strengthen their promotional efforts so more people are aware that such high-quality domestic soybean products exist. Additionally, I look forward to them visiting schools more often to promote natural ecology and food and agricultural education, helping more students understand these important concepts.
Customer Interview: Food and Agricultural Education Participant (Female)

Student: How does the experience of making douhua (tofu pudding) yourself differ from simply buying and eating commercially available douhua?

Respondent: There is a significant difference between making it yourself and buying a commercial product. When you successfully complete the douhua making process, you get a real sense of achievement. Furthermore, handmade douhua has a denser and more delicate texture, and the sweetness feels more natural. Compared to the douhua sold in stores, the mouthfeel is noticeably different.

Student: What are your thoughts on today’s overall event?

Respondent: I find this event very meaningful. It not only allows participants to actually understand the production process of agricultural products but also strengthens our identity and connection with local farming. If possible, I also hope the government can provide more funding and resources to support young people who are interested in returning to their hometowns for agriculture or entrepreneurship. This would help them develop local agricultural products and, in turn, promote sustainable agricultural development. This is my personal thought and expectation.

Student: After hearing Mr. Chen Guang-jing’s explanation and participating in the hands-on experience, has your willingness to purchase domestic soybean products increased?

Respondent: Yes, it definitely has. Through the presentation, I now have a clearer understanding of the source of domestic soybeans. In the future, I will make sure to check that they are non-GMO, which gives me more peace of mind. At the same time, choosing to buy domestic soybeans supports our local agricultural development and ensures that consumers can enjoy healthy, eco-friendly, and high-quality food.
