Soybeans are a familiar sight in our daily lives, playing a lead role in so many of our meals. From the soy milk we drink at breakfast to the tofu served at dinner—along with favorites like dried tofu, bean skin, and miso—we encounter them almost every single day.
But did you know? The soybeans on our dining tables are mostly imported from abroad, and the majority of them are "Genetically Modified (GMO)". In contrast, native soybeans grown right here in the soil of Taiwan are surprisingly rare to find.
This discovery sparked our curiosity:
● Where does our food truly come from?
● What is happening to our land?
With these questions in mind, we set out on a journey and discovered — Taiwan Soybean Farm.
